Show Me a Hero (2015)

A housing desegregation order makes a Yonkers mayor's electoral survival collide with racism, residents' fears and other people's urgent need for a home. Show Me a Hero keeps those residents visible beyond the council chamber. The limited series gives local government unusual dramatic weight, especially in the distance between reaching a lawful decision and making change real. Suicide is part of its bleak personal aftermath.
