Memories of Murder (2003)

An investigation exposes the investigators' habits, rival methods and dependence on unreliable certainty. Bong Joon-ho lets comedy become increasingly uncomfortable without losing the physical detail of police work. The film's force lies in how a case changes the people trying to own its explanation.
