The Valhalla Murders (2019)

Iceland, in Icelandic. A visiting investigator joins a local detective as current killings expose an older institutional history. Their differing positions make cooperation more interesting than a simple imported-expert formula. The series works as a compact, dark investigation of failures carried forward, with abuse involving children making the material considerably harsher than the setting alone suggests.
