The Chestnut Man (2021)

Denmark, in Danish. A murder investigation links a grisly signature to a political family's unresolved loss. The detectives' work and the public story keep disturbing each other. It is an efficient entry to the darker end of Nordic crime, with disturbing violence; the 2026 Hide and Seek continuation returns to the investigative partnership rather than making the first case the whole attraction.
