The Son (2002)

Jean-Pierre and Luc Dardenne keep close to a joinery instructor whose attention to a new apprentice becomes difficult to interpret. Olivier Gourmet makes each withheld response consequential. The moral suspense emerges from bodies, work and proximity rather than a sequence of explanatory speeches.
