25th Hour (2002)

A drug dealer's final day before prison gives Spike Lee a way to connect private regret with a wounded New York. Edward Norton's defensive anger keeps colliding with the friends and family he may lose. The city's post-attack atmosphere makes this far more unsettled than a conventional last-night-of-freedom drama.
