Lost (2004)

The stranded survivors and their flashbacks supply plenty of immediate human interest. My patience weakens when a new mystery defers the satisfaction of the previous one. That appetite for continuing possibility helps explain the show's hold on its admirers. I am more comfortable with a question the drama plans to live inside than a growing queue of answers to await.
