The Walking Dead (2010)

The early survival drama makes a dangerous encounter feel consequential, and the ensemble gives people different ideas about what is worth preserving. The recurring cycle of refuge, threat and devastating loss wears me down. The problem is the long-term rhythm, rather than a belief that zombie stories cannot say anything useful. I need more variation in what returning to the group feels like.
