The Acolyte (2024)

Setting a Star Wars mystery before the familiar film era gives the Jedi's confidence something new to run into. The physical fights and competing accounts of the past are the strongest reasons to try the 2024 series. Its exposition and pacing are uneven. Cancellation after one season leaves significant threads open, so the case for more rests on promising conflicts as well as finished pleasures.
