Can You Hear Me? (2019)

Three friends in a low-income Montreal neighbourhood have a loyalty strong enough to survive some very damaging behaviour. Quebec humour and sharp dialogue give the women individuality, while money and unstable homes keep putting the friendship to work. Its comedy is frank and sometimes abrasive, with serious trauma beneath the energy rather than a uniformly comforting group of friends.
