Derby Girl (2020)

A disgraced skating champion joins an amateur roller-derby team and discovers that being talented does not automatically make her welcome. The French comedy gets its bite from ego colliding with a group that already has its own priorities. Its short episodes offer abrasive sporting companionship, rather than polished Parisian aspiration or a promise of technically detailed match coverage.
