Série Noire (2014)

Two Montreal television writers decide their crime series needs contact with real danger, and make spectacularly poor decisions in pursuit of authenticity. The Quebec comedy-thriller enjoys the gap between writing a dramatic scene and surviving one. Try it for dark comic momentum and professional desperation, with the local voices doing as much work as the increasingly absurd scheme.
