Bodies (2004)

The 2004 British medical drama, distinct from the later time-travel series of the same name, makes an obstetrics unit's hierarchy part of the danger. Recognising poor practice is not the same as being able to challenge it safely. Jed Mercurio's writing is furious and the clinical scenes can be graphic. It suits a viewer interested in responsibility being passed upwards, sideways and away from the patient.
