ER (1994)

County General has enough recurring staff for an apparently small decision to return later through a colleague or a patient's family. Nurses such as Carol Hathaway have professional and private lives beyond supporting the doctors. The American series becomes more spectacular across its long run; its early seasons are a strong starting point for the combination of ordinary work, urgency and accumulated attachment.
