This Is Going to Hurt (2022)

Adam's obstetrics work is funny until the effort of maintaining his defensive manner begins to look unbearable. The experience of junior colleague Shruti gives the hierarchy a particularly painful second perspective. This British miniseries is unsparing about training, fatigue and institutional neglect, with suicidal distress and traumatic childbirth central. Its emotional force comes from what staff cannot simply leave at the end of a shift.
