Extraction (2020)

A rescue through Dhaka streets appears to keep running from cars into buildings and back out again. Director Sam Hargrave operated a camera from a moving vehicle as part of that pursuit, bringing the lens into the same physical problem as the performers. The long passage is assembled from separate takes, with hidden joins helping sustain it. Its appeal is the closeness of the movement, although the surrounding mercenary drama is grim and heavily violent.
