Vadhandhi (2022)

A young woman's death becomes a struggle over the stories told about her in this Tamil mystery. The investigation gains force from the gap between evidence and damaging public speculation. It is a patient, emotionally difficult choice for viewers interested in who gets to define a victim, rather than a brisk succession of interchangeable twists.
