Ayali (2023)

A Tamil village girl's ambition to become a doctor clashes with rules that would end her education at puberty. Her practical attempts to continue studying give the social argument a compelling human centre. Choose it for determination and a strong mother-daughter relationship, with the fictional community's oppressive customs treated as a particular conflict rather than every Tamil family's reality.
