The Truffle Hunters (2020)

Older men and their dogs search for prized truffles in northern Italy, filmed in carefully held compositions that make mud, kitchens and forest paths unexpectedly beautiful. The charm is real, but so is the pressure of a market built around their knowledge. A wonderfully specific alternative to a conventional profile documentary.
