The Mole Agent (2020)

A retirement-home investigation provides the comic disguise for Maite Alberdi's compassionate documentary about loneliness. The elderly recruit's awkward attempts at espionage gradually matter less than the relationships he forms. Its observational warmth makes the residents people to spend time with rather than evidence in an argument.
