Never Rarely Sometimes Always (2020)

An abortion trip becomes a closely observed portrait of what young women must negotiate without adult support. Eliza Hittman's attention to small transactions, tired bodies and an extraordinary questionnaire scene gives the film its force. Sidney Flanigan's restraint allows the emotion to emerge without an explanatory speech.
