Sophia Amoruso

Amoruso started selling vintage clothes on eBay around the period when she worked at an art school's reception desk. Styling, photography and listening to shoppers helped the project become Nasty Gal, with its own website and first employee in 2008. Its later bankruptcy makes this a useful growth story to study critically, rather than a promise of permanent success.
