3-Iron (2004)

Kim Ki-duk follows a drifter who temporarily occupies empty homes and encounters a woman trapped in an abusive marriage. Sparse dialogue makes movement, proximity and absence unusually expressive. Its international festival reputation is substantial; for viewers outside that circuit, the discovery is a romance that gradually abandons ordinary realism rather than explaining every connection.
