Invisible City (2021)

A dead river dolphin on a Rio beach draws an environmental police officer towards figures from Brazilian folklore. The city's hidden supernatural life gives the mystery a visual vocabulary beyond imported demons. It is an appealing route into fantasy where grief and damage to the natural world are part of the same investigation.
