Look Back (2024)

58 minutes. Two girls' different relationships with drawing turn competition into collaboration, then give creative work a much harder emotional weight. The animation makes hours at a desk feel active through posture, weather and changing space around the artists. Brief does not mean slight here: friendship, regret and sudden violence make this a concentrated, moving choice.
