Shiva Baby (2021)
Movie
Released
77 minutes, MUBI release. A young woman's family acquaintances, former girlfriend and sugar daddy converge at a shiva, making small talk feel like a competitive sport. Rachel Sennott keeps the panic funny and physically legible as questions arrive faster than she can improvise answers. One cramped gathering supplies enough social pressure for a whole feature without an elaborate plot to prolong it.
