David Morse

Morse plays prison officer Brutal Howell in The Green Mile (1999) and Ellie's father, Ted Arroway, in Contact (1997). His substantial physical presence can suggest protection as readily as intimidation. These gentler roles make a good starting pair: a dependable colleague in one ensemble, a formative emotional presence in the other.
