Abbott Elementary (2021)

Teachers in an underfunded Philadelphia public school disagree about how to help while continuing to show up. The mock-documentary glances explain workplace alliances quickly, and Janine's over-eager plans make intention and result visibly diverge. The American school system supplies context, but the people doing imperfect work supply the comedy.
