It Happened One Night (1934)

An heiress and a reporter have to negotiate travel, money and each other before they can acknowledge attraction. Claudette Colbert and Clark Gable turn practical inconveniences into a lively contest of wills. Frank Capra gives the class differences enough bite to make their developing partnership feel earned.
