Million Dollar Baby (2004)

Clint Eastwood begins with practical training and an initially resisted bond between a boxing trainer and a determined fighter. Hilary Swank gives Maggie's work a concrete physical presence, making the relationship's later demands consequential. A severe emotional choice, with serious injury and end-of-life decisions beneath the sports-drama beginning.
