Bhoot (2003)

A modern Mumbai flat becomes threatening through sounds and familiar spaces that no longer feel secure. Urmila Matondkar makes the gradual loss of ordinary confidence unsettling. Ram Gopal Varma's concentrated staging is especially effective when you want urban supernatural horror without musical relief.
