On the Silver Globe (1989)

Andrzej Żuławski imagines the violent creation of a society through feverish performances, unstable camerawork and elaborate costumes. The halted production was later reconstructed with narration across its missing portions, so incompleteness is part of the viewing experience. A demanding Polish cult epic for viewers willing to trade narrative smoothness for extraordinary invention and disturbing intensity.
