Psycho (1960)

Hitchcock's control of information makes an apparently straightforward journey feel unstable long before its most famous moments. Anthony Perkins gives ordinary hospitality a troubling uncertainty. Watch without a detailed synopsis if possible: the shifting point of view is central to a thriller whose shocks are supported by exceptionally precise everyday observation.
