North by Northwest (1959)

Cary Grant's bewildered professional is swept into a world that has assigned him an identity he cannot correct. Hitchcock gives the pursuit a light comic touch without sacrificing the clarity of danger. The changing locations and elegant set pieces make it a strong first choice for viewers who want suspense to retain a sense of play.
