Red Rock West (1993)

Nicolas Cage's unemployed drifter accepts a mistaken identity because the immediate reward looks easier to understand than the possible consequences. John Dahl uses the small-town setting to keep each attempted exit uncomfortably close to another obligation. A compact neo-noir discovery for viewers who enjoy bad decisions delivered with dry humour.
