The Silent Partner (1978)

Elliott Gould gives a bank teller's private response to a robbery an uneasy mixture of calculation and vulnerability. Christopher Plummer supplies an antagonist whose cruelty keeps the clever premise from becoming a comfortable game. This Canadian thriller is worth rediscovering for the contest between two men who each think they can exploit what the other knows.
