Son Ye-jin

Crash Landing on You is one route into Son's work, but The Last Princess (2016) gives her a different historical and emotional scale. Playing Princess Deokhye across years of displacement and loss, she moves beyond the confident modern heiress into a life shaped by colonial power. Treat the film as a dramatisation, and watch the changes in bearing as the character ages.
