Kim Hye-soo

Follow the detective from Signal across the law into Coin Locker Girl (2015). Kim becomes a loan-sharking gang leader known as Mother, using a heavy, unsentimental presence to dominate her makeshift family. This is a stark demonstration of authority serving different purposes. The film's criminal exploitation and violence make it a harsher choice than a straightforward police procedural.
