Bad Company (1972)

Jeff Bridges and Barry Brown give a group of young men travelling during the Civil War an appealing but unreliable companionship. Robert Benton makes theft and improvised survival replace any clear heroic route west. The discovery lies in the awkward mixture of adventure and moral drift, as youthful charm repeatedly fails to make consequences disappear.
