The Culpepper Cattle Co. (1972)

Dick Richards follows a young would-be cowboy into work that offers far less glamour than the life he imagined. The cattle drive's rough practical detail gives the disillusionment a convincing setting. This small 1970s western is worth finding for the distance it puts between youthful fascination with a role and the conduct needed to survive it.
