Ray Kroc

Kroc backed the training programme launched in 1961 that became Hamburger University, with Fred Turner central to its development. It taught the methods behind running restaurants and included a laboratory for testing operating practices. The system reached franchisees as well as employees, so its talent pipeline extended across the restaurant network rather than remaining solely inside corporate headquarters.
