The child left caring for his siblings in Nobody Knows (2004) and the stern Hijikata of Gintama (2017) hardly seem to belong to the same acting vocabulary. Yagira makes Akira's burden visible through small gestures in the former; the latter turns rigid authority into part of a noisy manga comedy. Start with Nobody Knows for emotional observation, then use Gintama to see how far he can push a deliberately exaggerated persona.
