Grizzly Man (2005)

Werner Herzog uses Timothy Treadwell's footage to create a dialogue with a man whose beliefs he does not fully share. The bear images are extraordinary, but the difference between fascination and identification gives the documentary its depth. The withheld death recording is an important ethical choice.
