The New World (2005)

Terrence Malick treats the encounter between English settlers and Indigenous Virginia as a sensuous, unstable experience of discovery and loss. Q'orianka Kilcher anchors the drifting images. Several cuts exist; whichever feature version you choose, approach its poetic movement rather than expecting a conventional historical adventure.
