Caché (2005)

Michael Haneke makes an anonymous recording of a family's home disturb the boundary between comfortable private life and unacknowledged public history. Daniel Auteuil's evasiveness is as important as the threat. The unresolved surveillance puzzle becomes a test of what the viewer is willing to notice.
