The Death of Mr. Lazarescu (2005)

Cristi Puiu turns a sick man's night moving between hospitals into a darkly comic account of exhausted institutions and casual dismissal. The duration makes waiting part of the experience. Its force lies in how ordinary each individual failure can appear while their combined effect becomes devastating.
