Sugar (2008)

A Dominican pitcher's move into American minor-league baseball changes ordinary language, food and friendship into sources of uncertainty. Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck keep his life larger than his sporting potential. The discovery is a baseball film willing to question the dream's terms instead of assuming that persistence must end in professional triumph.
