Mystery Men (1999)

A group of very limited would-be heroes has to become useful without discovering glamorous new talents. The ensemble's bickering gives the absurd powers a surprisingly sympathetic basis. This established cult comedy is worth revisiting for a comic-book city whose eccentric design matches the characters' stubborn wish to count.
