Sweden's Tax Agency launched a tax-return app in March 2011 under Hansson, adding another way to approve straightforward declarations. The agency reported more than 32,000 app submissions by mid-April. Digital submission supplied an immediate receipt and avoided some routine errors, including missing signatures. This was an additional service built on Sweden's existing pre-filled returns, not the invention of that earlier system or a substitute for handling more complex tax affairs.
