Long Way North (2015)

Rémi Chayé makes an aristocratic girl's search for her explorer grandfather a story about acquiring useful skills rather than simply proving she is brave. The spare colour shapes give ice and weather unusual clarity. Worth seeking beyond the big animation brands for older children who like practical adventure and can manage sustained danger.
